Whether you want to shimmy on a big stage or are looking to put on a private show at home, this class will walk you through the basics of putting together a sexy burlesque number. This 2 hour workshop will consist of the origins of a recently revived art form and will help you develop your own style with amplified seductiveness. You will learn the different styles of burlesque and how burlesque has transformed to what it is today. Then we will take it to the dance floor where I will teach you a few elements of burlesque: striptease, chair tricks and sexy glove and stocking peels combined with a choreographed routine.

This class is appropriate for all fitness levels and no previous experience is required. Flirty, fantastic fun, for women and men of all ages, shapes and sizes- burlesque is for every body!

Dress sexy-comfy, ie, yoga pants, booty shorts, tank top, fishnets etc.) Bring heels, long gloves, stockings and one article to strip out of (ie: wrap, dress, trench coat, mens shirt, robe, etc.) There is no nudity in the class, all striptease will be done with clothing underneath.

Our instructor Lita Deadly, formerly known as Gaige, is a burlesque/sideshow performer based out of San Antonio, TX. A founding member of Le Strange Sideshow, Texas only all female sideshow revue and a Producer of the San Antonio Burlesque Festival. She is known for her unique ability to combine classic burlesque with old sideshow acts. She has performed at a number of venues across the United States for over 7 years, touring with different groups such as the Revolution Circus and Mr. Hamiltons Chump Change RoadShow. She was runner-up for audience choice at this years Texas Burlesque Festival and she is super excited to teach you about the art of tease!
